SATURDAY'S MATCHES.

The Shield and Cup matches were advanced another stage on Saturday with one. senior and three junior matches. ■ J, , : -i ,i" The Tua Marina Rifle Club and the Blenheim Rifles met on the Marshlands, range, the former winning by 25 points. The light.was bad, causing some of the shooting to be very boor. This is the first occasion m which the Blenheim Rifles have suir-. fered defeat this season. , . In the junior (cup) competition the Tua Marina Defence Rifle Club defeated the Waitohi Rifles by 51 points; the Blenheim Rifles defeated the Seddon D.R.C. by 26 points, and the Renwick D.R.C. defeated the Marlborough Mounted Rifles by dl points.
