"Dropkiek" writes as follows in The Evening Post:—"The defeat of the Wellington B representative team by ■Marlborough, after the B team had scored a somewhat easy win over Nelson a few days previously, should] be taken cognisance of by the New I Zealand Union. For many years past j the Marlborough Union has tried to get consideration given to Blenheim whenever touring teams from New South. Wales, Queensland, or Great Britain have come to New Zealand, but always without success. For two 1 or three seasons past the Marlborough representatives have gained the Seddon Shield, which is competed for; annually by the representatives of the Nelson, Buller, West Coast and Marlborough Unions respectively. As\ there generally is either one or two matches to be located between these localities, the Union might fairly give a preference to Blenheim when the next itinerary is being fixed."
