FLOGGING GERMAN RECRUITS. SERGEANTS PUNISHED. [press association.] . (Received June 15, 8.55 a.m.) BERLIN. June 14. Two sergeants of the Fourth Guards, the "crack" regiment, have been sentenced at Berlin to degradation and imprisonment for fifteen and twelve 'months respectively, for belabouring recruits with riding-whips , and using other forms of brutality. Two other sergeants received minor sentences. ,
