WAITOHI RIFLES.

On the Prince of Wales's Birthday the Waitohi Rifles held a field day at Waikawa, when there was a good muster. . They left the Drill Shed at 9.30 a.m., and with an advance guard out proceeded to the rifle range, when some field manoeuvres were held. The firing for the company's prices then took place, after which more field manoeuvres were gone through, and the corps returned to town with a rear guard out. The shooting shows that the corps contains some promising young " shots who, with the coaching at their disposal, should soon develop into marksmen. Lieut.
