>'A Press Association telegram from Dunedin states that Mr Slater, late workers' member of the Arbitration Court_, will oppose Mr Sidey, for .tjie Caversham seat at the General Election.
Our Christchurch correspondent telegraphs that Mr A. L. Denniston, who for the past seven years has been associate to his Honour Mr Justice JJeiiriiston, has resigned that position, and in a few months will probably commence the practice of his profusion in a North Island centre. Sir A. M. Thomas has been appointed associate to Mr Justice Denniston.
Mr P. W. "Robertson, the Dominion's second Rhodes Scholar, h%s just about exhausted his term &f study at Oxford University. SJr Robertson, whose particular branch of science is chemistry, is nowstudying at Leipzig for his degree as Doctor of Philosophy.
