Sir William Lyne has withdrawn l the notices withholding the payment of revenue balances to the States for the month of May. VICTORIA'S FINANCES. MELBOURNE, May 31. Mr Bent delivered a policy speech last night. Owing to the drought, he said, the revenue had fallen off greatly during the past two months, and would continue to do so for some time. He estimated that the year would end with a deficit of £140,000.
