DISCOVERED

A DEEP-ROOTED CONSPIRACY.

[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received May 10, 4.18 p.m.) LONDON, May 9. The Daily Mail reports that the conspiracy to murder the Earl of Minto and Lord Kitchener and raise a rebellion had as its instigators Maharatta Brahmins whose headquarters were at Poona. They found Bengalis to supply the weapons. The Telegraph's Allahabad correspondent states that the police discovered a quantity of literature showing that the scheme was thoroughlyorganised. The headquarters are described as a college, with divisions mapped throughout India. It was intended that each of the divisions should send to this college two men, to be instructed in the manufacture of bombs and general revolutionary measures.
