A SPORTSMAN'S NARROW ESCAPE. [PKESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received April 18, 9.23 a.m.) CALCUTTA, April 17. , Leopold Acland, a New Zealand landownerj was wounded by a tiger in the Khalma district, India. tiger had disappeared into the jungle, but suddenly it reappeared, xmd felled,Acland. ;
Another of the painty shot and killed the tiger while it was dragging Acland by the arm into the jungle. Acland's arm has been amputated.
