RAILWAY GUARD'S DEATH.
[press association.] . . BUNEDIN, April 18. At the inquest on a guard named J. Cogie, who was killed on a train «n Thursday night, the chief witness said that the deceased was crossing from one carriage to another when he slipped and fell between them. The deceased had had no drink whatever. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
