SIXTEEN PENCE A POUND.
THE WELLINGTON PRICE OF BUTTER. PLENTEOUS SUPPLIES. / , [from our correspondent.] WELLINGTON, April 16. ' In pursuance of niy promise of last week, I have pleasure in announcing a I further drop of a penny in the Welt hngton price of butter. The retail j prica to-day is sixteen pence. i Dealers are becoming angry, not to say panic-stricken, at the volume of outside butter that is coming in from factories' released from recent contracts, and some alarming estimates' .are given of the quantities in store. However, there is plenty of room for further falls before the English market is worth, considering. - '
