KILLED BY A TRUCK.
AUCKLAND, April 16. A seven-year-old girl named Barbara Beecher, while playing with others in some empty trucks at Ahuroa, fell on to the rails, and the wheel of a truck passed over her leg. The child was sent by a special train to the Auckland hospital, but died on the journey.
