Carlton, yesterday's winners in the bowling championship finals, met Hastings this morning, defeating them on both rinks by an aggregate of 46 to 35. 1 I Wilson's team, after a well-contest- ; ed game in the later stages, defeated . Land's team by 22 to 18. Kilgour's j team started off with a big lead, holding ten points in hand at the.tenth head. Hastings, however, ; rallied, and, fighting out a game finish, managed to beat down Carlton's score, which ended 24 to 17. Carlton thus wins the pennant. Hastings and Gisborne play off for second place this afternoon.
