FATHER ROUGIER'S PURCHASE*

LONDON, Jan. 8.
Confirmation has been received of the report that Father Rougier, head of the Marist Missions at Suva, has purchased Fanning Island.
- The Pacific Cable Board think that it will be advantageous if Father Rougier will send settlers to the island.,
