PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS.

Six men are wanted for coal shovelling, either contract or day labour. Waitresses are wanted for the din-ing-room at the A. and P. Show.

The return of a lost shawl is desired.

A cook is wanted for tea-rooms at Picton.

A good general is offered a situation.

A boy is wanted as carpenter's apprentice. The owner of a lost fawn, and red shawl asks for its return.

A girl is wanted to assist in hotel dining-room.

Committees in connection with the recent Garrison Band bazaar are requested to meet at the Drill Shed this evening. To-morrow at 1.30 p.m. Mr W. Miller will sell at the Central Auction Mart furniture and household effects.

A social in connection with the Church of the Nativity will be held to-morrow afternoon. A musical programme will be provided, and afternoon tea dispensed. In another column are advertised particulars of the auction sale of Mr J. A Kitching's furniture, plant and property to be held on Thursday next. Owing to ill-health Mr Kitching has had to give up his bakery business, and is leaving Blenheim for Nelson. Everything must be sold, and will be offered without reserve^ with the exception of the property, upon which a low reserve has been placed. It »s a nicely situated place, and is sure to improve in value very quickly.
