Nomination, 6s; acceptance, 6s. U miles (optional.) To Start at 1.40. 3. Awatere Cup Handicap (open), of £25; second horse to receive £5 from the stake. Nomination, 15s; acceptance, 10s. One Mile. To Start at 2.20. 4. President's Handicap (district), df£ll. and a trophy valued £5 ss, presented by E. A. Weld, Esq.; seoond horse to receive £3 from the stake. For all horses that have never won a stake exceeding £10 at time of acceptance. Winner of District Race to carry penalty of 51bs. Minimum weight 10.7. Nomination, 7s; acceptance, 4s. Six furlongs. District Race means for horses owned and in the Awatere District extending from the Vernon Hills to the Clarence River, for six months prior to the Ist November, 1907. 3. All Nominations and Acceptances must be addressed to the Secretary, j and contain the full amount of en-" trance money, with name, age, colour, \ pedigree (if any), and performances of all horses. Colours to be worn by jockey. 4. No entry will be received unless on the strict understanding that the decision of the Committee, or whom they may appoint ,in all cases shall be final, and all law proceedings barred. 5. Winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry penalty of 71bs. 6. Winner of Frist Trot subject to be re-handicapped for second. 7. Trotting.—All riders, drivers and trainers must be licensed for the cur- j rent season, and horses duly registered with the New Zealand Trotting Association before nomination. Jockeys having licenses must produce same at scales, All Races run under New Zealand Rules of Racing. Trotting events under New Zealand Trotting Association Rules.
