Poseidon still remains favourite for the Caulfield Cup at 4 to 1, while Subterranean is next in demand at 6 to 1. , T For the Melbourne Cup the New Zealander Apologue has been backed to win £7000 at prices varying from 100 to 7 to 100 to 12, which had the effect of installing him favourite, and the best price on offer is 7 to 1- Of the others Mountain King and Mooltan are quoted at 10 to 1, and Dyed Garments and First Foot at 16 to 1.
