Mulai Hand has sent M'ulai Rahacl with 6000 men and 50 field-pieces ttf the Shawai district.
It is understood at Casa Blanca that" Rahad's orders are to restrain and persuade the Shawais to reserve their' strength for a fight against the Sultan ; but if he is unable to restrain' them he will then join forces with the; Shawais against the French.
