TRESPASSING CATTLE

NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 24. In spite of efforts to exclude cattle from the Mt. Egmont forest reserve, much trespassing takes place. A?is morning two defendants in the Police Court were fined £2 and costs amounting to £5, for allowing thencattle to trespass. It was stated by the prosecution that the defendants had 60 head of cattle in the reserve for three weeks, and that' they deliberately cut down scrub to feed them.
