LATEST QUOTATIONS. [press association.] (Received Sept. 23, 7.15 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 22. Copper, £67 15s per ton; It is believed that the copper market has seen its worst. Confidence is reviving, but trade is quiet. Tin, spot £167 10s, three months £164; lead, spot £21 2s 6d, forward £19 10s; silver 2s 7 3-16 d per oz; antimony, £13 per ton. Copra: Fair demand. South Sea £19 17s 6d. Linseed oil, £26 10s. New Zealand hemp is weak. August-September shipment £32 10s. Wheat—Two cargoes of Australian $ol<Lat 39s 3d and 39s 6d respectively, ■~"~"~'fwo at 40s v a fifth—and also 20,500 quarters of September-October-Novem-ber shipment—at 42s 6d. Butter is in small quantities. New Victorian salted realised 112s; New South Wales 110s. Cheese—New South Wales is selling at 63s to 655; Canadian, 60s; New Zealand 71s. Wool—The Antwerp sales closed with increased animation. Tuesday's prices were well maintained. Crossbreds regained some favour; 10,957 bales of La Plata were offered, and 6193 sold. Rabbits are unchanged. Consumption is increasing, but arrivals are fully equal to demand. Frozen Mutton—Canterbury heavy 3fd, light and medium unchanged; best North Island 3|d; other sorts and New Zealand lamb unchanged. Beef—Ox fores 2 9-16 d; ox hinds 3|d. River Plate sheep unchanged; beef, ox fores 21d, ox hinds 3|d.
