The provisions of the Pure lood BUI regarding light-weight bread were the | subject o? a deputation to the Minister for Public Health from the Wellington Master Bakers' Association to-day. The deputation was under the impression that by the terms of the Bill every loaf of bread delivered by a baker had to be weighed at the door, and any deficiency made up. Against this the deputation entered an em■^rSgJTthe Minister said that there was no general weighing provided for by the Bill; it simply, put on the bakers the onus of proving that the bread they sold was the weight it was represented to be.
