In connection with the Newcastle coal vend, the question was asked in the Federal House of Representatives to-night whether there was any power in the anti-trust law to prevent the threatened monopoly in the coal trade from materialising.

Sir "William Lyne, in rejbly, said that it .struck him that there was power to deal with wiat seemed like a nibnopoly in coal. He would consult with the Attorney-General on the matter.
