HIGH WATER AT WAIRAU BAR.

Wairau Bar (hofrn).—The bar is smooth, and the tides good. The Blenheim crossed out at 3.30 p.m. yester--day, and the Opawa also outwards at 3 a.m. to-day. The Waihi cam© up to i;he bar this morning an hour after high water, and was not .allowed to cross, so dropped anchor in the bay. The wind this morning, was blowing hard from the S.W., but has now changed round to the S.E. The Waihi, which left Wellington for Blenheim last night, arrived off the bar too late for this morning's tide. This would probably be caused by her not standing to the northward for after passing Cape Terawhiti, before turning to cross the Strait.
