THE JESSIE MACLACHLAN CONCERT.
TO TUB EDITOR
Sir, —Kindly permit me to refer to a paragraph inserted in yesterday's Express re a little confusion which occurred in the gallery on the evening of the, above concert. It has been stated by many that the tickets'for reserved seats were sold a second time, and the blame has been levelled at myself, as having charge of the box plan. I may state, firstly, that I was responsible only for the selling of the tickets, and anything ■■.-in.; regard q toi the ; managemene at the hall I haxl.irothirig to do with. But I give an absolute denial to the statement that any, two, tickets were issued f:or.the, same sea&; and also tb the statement that the number ot tickets -sold for the gallery exceeded^ the njufiiberj: of .seats,; as a, matter of fa,ct, there Were/foiir seats in the gallery'unsold;' '"I alstf wish to state that everys reserved seat ticket was properly marked, having both the letter of the row and the 'number of the seat reserved marked, upon it. Therefore, it will be clearly seen that I was in no way responsible for what took place there. I desire to give this explanation because I will have the box plan arrangements of: another very important company a little later on, and I want t& assure all those likely'to at-, tend that* everything will be done in perfect order, as I will personally attend not only to the' box-plan, but to all the arrangements with regard to the hall, and see that no confusion will occur. ■!.>•:.-..
