It is this, time described as "gastric influenza." A Dillon's Point settler informed a reporter this morning that, although the crops in that usually damp district were sown very early last spring* and came away very well—the season being considered indeed, almost perfect—the harvest results were not so satisfactory as they, might have been. He stated that the oats only cut two tons of chaff to the. acre. So far, the present winter is remarkably like the last, and this settler, at any rate, does not find any cause for gratulation in the prospect of an early sowing.
