SATURDAY'S MATCHES.

The thread which was dropped on -account of the visit of the Buller team was picked up on Saturday. In the senior contest, the second game of the third-rouud was proceeded with, and as a result, Moutere is out of the running for the Cup, which may find its way to any of the other teams. A good deal of interest will centre in the meeting of Awatere and Moutere next" Saturday, as, should they win, Moutere will do much towards put- - ting Awatere out of the race. Only one third-class match was played, the teams in the other being disappointed by the non-appearance of the referee.
