DUCED
PROTEST BY THE WORKMEN.

LONDON, July 25
It is Mr Haldane's intention further to reduce the number of workmen at; Woolwich Arsenal by 3000, making 8000 the maximum peace strength, whereas it was formerly 15,000.
The proposal has caused indignation at Woolwich. The engineers demanded a strike, which the leaders overruled.
The workmen are now appealing to~ the Labour Members of Parliament.
