THE LORDS AND THE CLOSURE.

(Received July 26, 8.2^0 a.m.)

LONDON, July 25.

Only three of the fifteen clauses of the Evicted Tenants Bill were discussed in the House of Commons before the Bill was guillotined.

Owing to the fact that many measures are reaching the House of Lords with clauses passed without discussion, Lord Camperdown proposes that in future Bills shall be so printed as to show what portions the Hoii'se of Commons have closured.
