To-day the Wairau Bar was smooth, the tides bad, and the depth of water sft 6in. .The Waihi, in attempting to tsross outwards at 3 p.m. yesterday, took the ground. It was expected to set her off at about 3.30 p.m; to-day. The channel itself is unaltered, and the Tjad tides are attributed to the Waihi's mishap. The Tutanekai, engaged in <jable repairing, was in White's Bay this morning.
