A BRIDGE BADLY TWISTED.
AUCKLAND, Jan. 16/ Paeroa reports that jfche Waihou River is the highest for twenty years. Communication is stopped on the main roads owing to damaged bridges. Railway traffic in both directions is stopr ped. The Piako bridge, near Mbrrihsville, is twisted, and it -is expected that three weelcs will, be' required to effect repairs.
