In consequence of a reduction in freight on the carriage of frozen meat, the Christchurch Meat Company have reduced the gross consolidated rate, particulars of which appear in an advertisement on the front page to-day. The Marlborough Gun Club will hold a series of live pigeon matches at Spring Creek on Wednesday next. A smart lad is wanted for a general store.
