Wheat--Large shipments and lower prices of Russian and Argentine caused dullness in the English markets and the cessation of ■speculation. Forward cargoes and fine weather dulled Continental markets. Indifferent crop accounts kept American firm. Cargoes by the Hinemoa sold at 30s;. Archibald Russell 29s 9d, Manor 30s 3d, and 6000 quarters of South Australian June-July shipments 31s. Holders are asking 30s 9d for Victorian afloat, and 30s 3d to 305.6 d for New South Wales. Inquiry is limited. , Australian spot '32s'6d; New Zealand is exhausted. . Flour is slow: Australian is freely offered at 22s 3d to 22s 6d in London, and 23s 9d in Glasgow. There is nothing doing in freights. Butter is firm; Danish 110s to 112s. The hot weather is checking the demand for colonial, buyers preferring fresher-made Continental. Moderate supplies of colonial prevented a reduction in prices.. Copper--Spot £85 17s 6d, three months £84 17s 6d per ton. Tin—Spot £182, three months £181 2s 6d per ton. , Silver—2s s£d per oz. Pig-iron—sos 6d per ton;spelter £27 12s 6cl per ton.

Lead—£l7 per ton. Sugar—Germans Bs, first marks 10s 3d.

Bradford tops are quiet but firm, and prices are unchanged.
