REMANDED FOR SENTENCE

WELLINGTON, May 16. At the Supreme Court Samuel McShane, who was arrested in London on a charge of stealing jewellery at Wellington, was convicted and remanded for sentence. .The ' sellingprice of the jewellery was £173. Accused walked into a shop dur-, ing the absence of the proprietor and ".cleared" all valuables. He then shipped for London as a trimmer. ■ •
The prisoner had been employed for yeaz-s in Wellington as a tailor.
