TRIBUTE TO LORD RANFUSLY.

Wellingtons April 23.

Lord Ranfurly presented the medallions and certificates to members of the Wellington centre of the St. John's Ambulance Association last night.

#The Mayor of Wellington, in a speech appreciative of Lord Ranfurly'g services to the Association, presented bhe Governor with an illuminated address on behalf of the Auckland, Wellington, Ohristchurch, and Dunedin centres, regretting his departure from the colony, and expressing thanks for the services to the Association rendered by Lord Ranfurly and the Countess of Ranfurly. In reply, Lord Rarifurly stated that, long prior to coming to New Zealand, he was associated with the St. John's Association in England. He testified to the good work done by the New Zealand branch, and spoke especially in appreciative terms of the work performed in the back-blocks of the colony by those who had been instrumental in giving instruction in first aid and pufting their knowledge to practical test, particularly in regard to bash accidents.
