THE NEW QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT.
Brisbane, September 18. Me Morgan announced the sew Government, and Mr Philp announced that he had been chosen leader of the Opposition.
Mr Cowley was elected Speaker after an acrimonious debate, wherein Mr Morgan was charged with intriguing against the Philp Government while still Speaker.
The Government Party, composed of ten members who followed the Philp Ministry, the whole of the tabor, the Opposition, and the Independents, has a majority of twelve.
