The Mount Egmont Lodge of Freemasons celebrated their jubilee by a large gathering last night, the -Grand Master of the Wellington district and officers attending. Thames, September 18. The boring scheme to which the public companies subscribed liberally, and to which the Government gave a substantial subsidy, is now well under way. The first bore is down 200 feet in splendid country. The second boring machine will arrive in the course of a few days. Great interest is taken in the operations.
