Timaeu, July 15. The first sod of the Pareora Freezing Works, a branch of the Belfast Works, was turned to day. The plans show it to be the most up to date Works in Australasia. The central line of the main block is 160 yards long, the freeeing capacity 5000 per day, the storage 100,000. The refrigeration is on the brine system, There are fifteen electric motors for all subsidiary powers. A slaughterhouse for 64 butchers is on the second storey. A fellmongery and manure factory are attached to the Works. The Works are expected x? be ready for use\ in the first week of February next.
