THE CAMPAIGN OF THE PROGRESSIVES.
Received July 15,10.20 p.m. Capetown, July 15.
Dr. Jameson made his first appearance as the leader of the Progressives. He opened the campaign at Claremont, urging unity with a view to greater power at the general ejections to benefit the colony's position by the coming federation. He hoped the colony would co-operate with the others and the union wonld long continue under Lord Milner's wise and skilful guidance.
