The Borough Council decided to accept the tender of McWilliam and Anderson, of Wellington, £5595 3s, for headwork, tunnel and pipe head for a gravitation water supply scheme The highest tender was £11,409. Napier, July 14. At a meeting of labor repreoentatives to-Hight it was resolved to form a Trades and Labor Council in Napier. The Charitable Aid Board to-day affirmed the purchase of 5£ acres of land for the purpose of erecting a new building for an old men's refuge. The land is situated not far from the present site, the building on which has been condemned by the InspectorGeneral of Hospitals. Napier, July 14. A big deal in hotel property was completed here to-day, when the Hawke's Bay Brewery and five town and twelve country hotels, all in the estate of the late C. H. and F. W.
