TheNewtown licensing case was resumed at the Appeal Court this morning, Judge Cooper being sufficiently recovered to take his seat ©n the Bench. .. Mr Skerrett resumed his argument in support of the motion for mandamus, and cited furtbeY eases as to principles upon which the Acts of Parliament should, be interpreted, with special references to cases where general restrictions bad been limited by the general scope of the statute. Messrs Leyi and Young followed.
