IDENTIFICATION OF REMAINS.

Auckland, June 17.

Another dead body was found in the debris of the flee —an Englishman, name unknown, who arrived last night, aged about thirty. i

The body previously mentioned r.s unidentified was that of a Maori named Kaepa, who was waiting for the Native Land Court.

The remains of these two were fouud in the same bedroom.

Markavich's body was found on the stairs burned to a cinder. He was evidently suffocated when attempting to escape.

The name of the Austrian burned to doath is Mark Omartinich.

The building was owned by Thomas Foley, and insured in the Imperial for £1500; the furniture was insured in the London, Liverpool and Globe for £150.
