ST. GEORGE'S DAY SPORTS.

The winding-up Dicwtirt/? of U.e St. Georgo's D:iy Sporta Comm'iteo in connection with tLo sports that were carried out on St. George's liny was held last evening at Wesley Hall, the President, Mr J. Conolly, in the chair. Apologies for absence were received from several members of the Commit tco. The talance sheet of the sports was presented by the Treasurer, Mr J. A. Bottrell. It showed a email credit balance, and was adopted as read. The prize money paid amounted to £30. A small donation was granted the Garrison and Hibernian Bands for their music funds, and to the Wesleyan Sunday school. A vote was aLo granted the Wairau Cricket Club for the use of the ground. Hearty votes of thanks were passed to Mr A, J. Fisher, Hon. Secretary, and Mr Bottrell, Hon. Treasurer, for their services, and to the other officers of the day, also to the Racing Club for use of ropes, the Wesleyan Church for the use of Wesley Hall, and to all who had assisted the sports in any way.
