Received April 17, 10 40 p.m. New York, April 16. The auditor reports discrepancies in the construction accounts oE the New York Metropolitan Street Eailway. The deficit amounts to two millions sterling. Steamers reaching New York have met with tremendous icebergs in the Atlantic. There have been severe storms on the coast and many wrecks. Berlin, April 16. Hartman, an artilleryman at Essen, failed to salute naval Lieut. Huesaeuer, who killed him with a sword thrust. London, April 16. Newviggin, a coachman, suffering from insomnia, murdered his wife and four daughters and then suicided at; Dans, Berwickshire. London, April 17. Mr Reeves has started for Madrid to attend the International Medical Congress.
