DEMANDED.

Press Association. Electric Telegraphy Copyright.

Constantinople, April 11.

The German Crown Prince has dined with the Sultan, and received a decoration. M. Stcherbina, Russian Consul at Mitrovitza, who was wounded in the recent attack on that town, has succumbed to his injuries. The Porte informed M. Zinovieff, Russian Ambassador at Constantinople, that M. Stoherbina's assailant, Ibrahim, had been sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment. The Note was returned, with the statement that Ibrahim must either bo executed or acquitted. The Sultan is embarrassed, as the culprit's execution would defeat the scheme of paciScation, and compel the Sultan to take serious punitive operations or defy Russia.
