London, March 1. The gale has moderated, though the tale of losses is still incomplete.
Great damage was caused in the Isle of Man. Houses and churches were wrecked, particularly All Saints Church, Peeltown, where a memorial window was blown in and the roof of the nave was lifted, falling within the church.
The Canard liner Lucania was unable to land her passengers from America, numbering a hundred, at Qaeenstown, and carrl d them on to Liverpool.'
