Waiboa, October 3. A Maori woman had an unpleasant experience at the end of the week. In going from Waikaremoaaa to Buatahuna, a distance of 14 miles, a heavy snowstorm set in. She had an [infant with her, and made her way into the bush, where she remained nearly three days without fire or food. When she reached Buatahuna she was almost dead from cold and exhaustion. She bad shielded the baby so that it did not suffer. The woman has now recovered. .
