LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
The Council met at 8 p.m.
The second reading of the Midland Railway Petitions Settlement Bill was carried by 19 to 1.
The Methodist Church Bill and Pharmacy Bill passed the final stages.
The following Bills passed the final stages without amendment :—Midland Railways Petitions Settlement, Military Pensions Act Amendment, and Railways Authorisation. At 11.55 the Council adjourned till 11 a.m. to-morrow.
