Sib, —You have apparently struck the rocks by allowing your correspon dents to use the columns of your jour nal to air their opinions in reference to the price, quality, and weight of bread. It is not by any means wrong to give both sides of the question ; but it is certainly not in keeping with the strict letter of the law that you should be compelled to walk the streets with a writ for libel hanging in the wind. Now, I think it would be wise of you, as bread is going to be very dear next winter, to suggest to the heads of families that they purchase all the Eggs that are procurable, and place them in a kerosene tin, and with a twoshilling bottle of WATERGLASS, which can be procured at Shaw's Medical Hall, they will preserve sufficient eggs to last them all through next winter.—l am, etc., Mater.
