FIRE IN A MINE.

Work has been resumed in tho Mount Kerobla mine. Safety lamps are now
used
Mr Reid declares that the separation of any State from the Commonwealth is
outside the sphere of practical politics.
A fire which has been smouldering in the Broken Hill Block 12 Mine since 1897 shows signs of a recrudescence. Ten horses have been withdrawn, and the affected portion barricaded off. The area is small.
