RENWICK RIFLE CORPS.
[own correspondent.] A contest between members "of the above for the possession of the much coveted Shaw's cup took place on the corn's range the other day. Twenty members participated in the firing and took much interest in the day's proceedings. A fair north wind was blowing across the range and the light was good. Seven shots were fired at each of the 300, 500, and 600 yds ranges. After an exciting contest the cup fell to Mr Dodson, who won by one point. Following are the scores of the ten members who headed the list ;—
The Rifle Club Committee have entered a protest against the Mounted Rifles who permitted Mr A. Maher an honorary, and not a bona fide member of their Company, to fire for them against the Renwiok Rifle Corps in the Association match on the 13th inst.
