Generals Botha and De la Rey will he appointed members of the Legislative Council of the Transvaal.
The Daily Mail states that Generals Botha and De Wet have arrived at Madeira. They are delighted at the arrangements made for them to participate in the naval review.
The British Trade Commission in South Africa reports that monopolies and trusts threaten to bar the development of the country. Prospects are otherwise satisfactory, and there are excellent openings for enterprising upto date manufacturers.
Tho New Zealand ladies in London have formei a guild, with, Mrs Seddon as president, for the care of New Zealanders' graves in South Africa.
